Lisa Courchaine, LCSW
Mental Health Clinician
Lisa’s passion for pursuing a career in social work began when she was a corps member for Americorps NCCC. During this 10 month commitment to provide volunteer services related to addressing critical and unmet human needs, a spark was ignited. Moving forward, during her undergraduate experience she was an intern at NWP Day Treatment where she created and conducted groups on self-esteem and social skills. During her graduate experience she was an intern at Recovery Dane, where she provided information and referrals for Dane County, along with case management services for those living in the community with severe and persistent mental health issues. Over the summer in Madision, while attending graduate school, Lisa was a program assistant for the Goodman Community Center, where she provided support and mentoring for at risk teens, as part of a credit recovery program. The final year of graduate school, Lisa was an intern at Meriter Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital, where she provided supportive counseling for adolescents in acute psychological distress.
