QUOTE

“I truly understand the importance of mental health resources and strongly believe that a good program can shape a child’s outlook on life in very important ways. We cannot underestimate the impact that one organization like NWP can make. It’s a privilege to help those that cannot help themselves. We are in a unique position to influence those around us. What better way to do that than to shape the next generation of leaders in our communities?”

DETAILS

  • Specialty: Steve’s educational background in psychology, backed with his front-line work experience as a counselor provides him with a unique perspective and empathy for the residents as well as the NWP team. His business experience will add value to the organization in a variety of ways, such as strategic planning, budgeting/finance, policy development, and fostering alignment between the board of directors and upper management.
  •
  • Experience: After graduating with a psychology degree from UW-Madison, Steve was a counselor for Northwest Passage as well as the Wisconsin Department of Juvenile Corrections before starting his career at Schaffer Manufacturing. He’s held a variety of sales, human resources, and leadership roles there over the past 13 years, and is currently the owner and CEO.
