“I hold these things dear to me because they are such healthy getaways. Getaways from the things in life that try to chain us down and follow us into our dreams. These elements help break those chains and free us from all the stressors in life.”

QUOTE

“Hope is that little spark in our hearts that whispers “keep going”. We may not know where it is coming from and why, but that spark keeps our heart beating and gives us the tools we need to keep going.”

Nature | Relationships | Spirit

“The beauty and solitude I find in nature are more comforting than anything I have found in the city. Conversations about morality and spirituality can make for some of the most invigorating and thought-provoking conversations. As social beings, our relationships allow us to change (and possibly grow) depending on which relationships we decide to nurture.”

QUOTE

“Hope implies a certain degree of trust and/or desire. Therefore, I would say that hope is a necessary building block in our mission to instill lasting, positive change in the lives of our kids.”

“Life today is so much more complex than when I was a teenager. I like that NWP helps teens learn to navigate life in a healthy manner, helps them learn how to thrive.”

DETAILS

  • Specialty: Jennifer calls herself “a plodding, but logical and creative thinker”. She likes to find links between disparate things and try to see how they can work together. She brings a lot of goodwill, curiosity, and interest to the Northwest Passage board of directors.
  • Experience: Jennifer taught English to French businessmen and women, and imported frozen meat into the French market. She was a bookbinder for several years and, then, returned to school for her MLIS and MBA. Jennifer was a business researcher at the James J Hill Reference Library, Ken Indicators, and the last 16 years of her work life, she owned her own one-woman business research firm. Since Sept 2020, Jennifer has been delightfully retired.
